A BRIEF ABOUT HACKING... WHAT IS KALI LINUX??

                         

        Hello friends welcome to yet another post by me kk.

So today's topic is a quite interesting one. Its about hacking! In this post i will tell you what is hacking, a brief history about it, types of hackers, about some famous hackers, and other useful information on the topic. So lets begin!!

               WHAT IS HACKING???

Hacking is an attempt to exploit a computer system or a private network inside a computer. Simply put, it is the unauthorised access to or control over computer network security systems.

However, it is not only done for illicit purposes. People who practice hacking are known as

hackers. 

         TYPES OF HACKERS

There are mainly three types of hackers:

BLACK HAT HACKERS: They are the ones who hack systems for illict and illegal purposes. They are also known as dark side hackers. They do things against the law . They mainly do it to earn money or for other personal gains.

     One of the most dangerous Black Hat hacker of all time is       considered to be Kevin Mitnick. He had hacked THE               PENTAGON, where all the secrets of the US army are            kept!!

   

   2. WHITE HAT HACKERS: White hat hackers are the one  

       who hack, or rather do the work of protection of                       cybersecurity. They usually work for big companies and          firms and prevent their systems from being hacked.

  3.GREY HAT HACKER: Grey Hat hacker is a person who

     may sometimes violate laws or typical ethical standards, but does not have the malicious intent typical of a black hat hacker.

They usually practice hacking to detect flaws in a company's network security and if they are successful then they are rewarded by the company.

                                     

Now you have known the types of hackers and what exactly hacking is. Now we would focus on some common terms of hacking and networking

• URL: Uniform Resource Locater
• HTTPS: Hyper text transfer protocol secure
• CSS: Client side scripting
• SSS: Server side scripting
• SQL injection
• Keylogger: A device that records what you typed on your keyboard
• Phishing
• EVASDOPING: Hacking the account of people connected to a public wifi.

And the list goes on....

Anyone who earlier had any prior knowledge or exposure to hacking must have had heard about KALI LINUX.

Lets get to know more about it:

Kali Linux is a Debian-derived Linux distribution designed for digital forensics and penetration testing. It is maintained and funded by Offensive Security Ltd. Mati Aharoni, Devon Kearns and Raphaël Hertzog are the core developers.

Basically, it is an operating system used for hacking and testing network security. It is an open source project and anyone can contribute into it. It comes with pre loaded hacking tools. It is considered as a hacker's paradise!

Now lets look upon some hacking facts:

• The first instance of hacking is seen by a a company named Bell Telephone which hacked and misdirected phone calls
• The first gadget to be hacke was a telephone
• In 1988 Robert T. Morris created a worm, or self-replicating program, purportedly to evaluate Internet security.
• Apple founder steve wozniak was also a hackr earlier
